Hollo returns to the West End

Hollo is proud to announce his return to the West End in London in November 2009. Working alongside long term friend Gary Lake, star of We Will Rock You, and celebrity Paul Nicholas, Hollo will design the set for the new production of JEST END, a satirical evaluation of the World's most famous musicals. Opening in November and having already played in the West End for over a year in different theatres, Hollo will post more information here as plans and ideas develop!

Hollo set as Costume Designer at Katona József Theatre - Kecskemét

Following the huge success of the Hungarian Premiere of AVENUE Q at Central Szinhaz, the continued partnership of Director, Maria Harangi and Hollo continues as they are asked to produce the famous Hungarian Operett entitled, "Lili bárónő". This production will premiere at the Katona József Theatre - Kecskemét in October 2009. Hollo will design the costumes for this production.

SIMON JAMES & HILL GET A SILVER SONY RADIO GONG!

Kerrang Radio duo, Simon James & Hill tonight (Monday 11th May, 2009) won a prestigious SONY RADIO ACADEMY SILVER AWARD in the Music Personality of the Year category. Taking their tally to 4, the Breakfast Show boys beat off stiff competition from Lauren Levearne and Scott Mills with the GOLD going to Chris Evans. Hollo Events, who represents the duo internationally, is proud to announce this terrific result and wish the guys a great night of celebrations! CONGRATULATIONS!!

AIDA Second Photo Update

With 4 days to go, the clock is really ticking in creating the first fully transportable and equipped theatre in Hungary's history. With a technical crew of over 50 personnel working in carpentry, stage crewing, metal fabricators, lighting and sound technicians, scenic artists, stage management and theatre suppliers, we are working throughout the days and nights to get ready with the venue and all of the support vehicles such as fully equipped dressing rooms, restaurants and other support vehicles. Aida Circus Arena Photo Update No. 1

Here are the first images from the mammoth Aida Interactive production that Hollo Events is designing. As well as designing the new theatre space (surprisingly!) entitled "Round Theatre", Hollo has designed the set for the production that will Premiere on May 8th. The 550 seat venue is a fully operational theatre space with intelligent lighting system, catering and convenience facilities as well as truck support of fully equipped dressing rooms. Simon James & Hill Get Sony Radio Academy Award Nomination

Monday 6th April saw radio duo Simon James and Hill get nominated for THE MUSIC RADIO PERSONALITY OF THE YEAR at the Sony Radio Academy Awards 2009.

The boys who are represented internationally by Hollo Events, are nominated against Chris Evans, Lauren Laverne, Scott Mills and Zane Lowe. Previously, the boys have won 3 Sony Awards and this year promises to be a great year for them. Having taken over the breakfast show at Kerrang Radio, their contributions at Kerrang have also helped get the radio station a nomination for Best Radio Station at the Sony Awards this year as well.

Fingers crossed for the boys who will find out on May 11th at the London Grosvenor House in a star studded ceremony hosted by Chris Evans.

Cecilia Lloyd confirms Die Fledermaus dates for 2009/2010 season at the Hungarian State Opera

Starting from December 31st, Cecilia Lloyd will return to the Hungarian State Opera House stage to reprise the role fo Adele in Die Fledermaus. Cecilia has been a principal soprano at the Hungarian State Opera for over a decade singing roles such as Gilda, Adele, Adina, Susanna, Musetta and many others. She is particularly reknowned for her ability to hold a top "D" for considerable lengths of time as Adele and has always been asked to sing the role for the famous New Years Eve performances. Hollo unveils the first design model for the new circus arena theatre

Hollo today revealed plans for the new 650 seater interactive theatre venue that he is designing. The fully transportabke venue will be used to house the forthcoming production of AIDA that Hollo is designing as well.The press conference introduced the stars of the show along with the creative team. Hollo designs interactive AIDA in Hungary

Hollo has been contracted to design the first audience interactive production of Tim Rice and Elton John's "AIDA".

The 20 show production will be inside a purpose built circus arena that Hollo has co-designed with Hungarian theatre impresario Peter Fekete.

I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change Wins Best Musical of 2008 in Hungary

The Broadway and West End sensation "I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change", produced by Central Theatre Budapest has won the Best Musical Award from the influential Theatre portal White Elephant. Along with this award, Director Maria Harangi won Best Musical Director for ILYYPNC and also actress Anna Balogh won Best Actress in a Musical Award for her performance in ILYYPNC. Hollo designs new concept in interactive theatre spaces in Hungary

Hollo is to become co-creator of a new concept in Hungarian theatre staging. For the first time ever, a fully transportable 500 seat theatre space with full facilities, will be permanently staged in Hungary. The venue shell has been imported from Milan where it was created by a specialist in outdoor venues. Hollo will completely design the space which will house 500 fully adaptable / multi configurational seats, refreshment and toilet areas, backstage and technical facilities and a full intelligent lighting grid. The space will be used to house the premiere of Hungarian musical "Istvan á Király" (King Steven) and then for a multitude of theatrical events. Hollo also will market this new ingenious new space to his corporate clients with a view to staging corporate, private and cultural events of all kinds within the space.
